Studio apartment, one open room that serves as bedroom, living room, and kitchen. Smallest and cheapest flat type in Czech rentals.
Garsonka is the Czech word for a studio. One open room with a kitchenette and a separate bathroom. Usually 15 to 30 m². Tighter than a 1+kk because there's no real separation between sleeping and living areas.
Best for solo renters on tight budgets. Rents in 2026 run from about 12,000 (outer districts) to 18,000 (central Prague). Often used by students and people new to the city.
