Trvale hlášen
Permanent residence registration in the Czech Republic, your official residential address on file with the state. Different from rental tenancy.
Trvale hlášen means having your trvalý pobyt (permanent residence) registered at a specific address. This is your official Czech mailing address, for taxes, voting, banking, parking permits, government correspondence.
Renting a flat doesn't automatically give you trvalý pobyt there. You need the landlord's written consent and registration with the local úřad městské části. Many Prague landlords refuse, because trvalý pobyt complicates eviction. EU citizens and Czechs are most affected by needing it; non-EU expats usually have a separate cizinecká policie registration.
