Editing without taking down the listing

Every field on a listing is editable after publishing without losing the URL, applications in flight, or the conversation history. Changes save immediately and propagate to renter search within about a minute.

  • Photos, add, remove, reorder, replace.
  • Price, rent and deposit. Increasing the deposit cannot exceed the 3-month legal cap.
  • Description, full rewrite or small tweaks.
  • Availability date, push out or pull in.
  • Viewing windows, add new slots or remove ones that have filled.
  • Amenities, toggle on or off.

Pausing a listing

Pause is the right move when you are mid-flow with promising applicants and do not want to keep fielding new enquiries. The listing disappears from public search but stays alive for existing applications, chat, and Track Application. You can unpause any time.

Marking Available, Reserved, Rented

Listing status reflects where the property is in its lifecycle. The five values are:

  • Draft, you haven't submitted for review yet. Only you can see it.
  • In Review, submitted, awaiting DomuHQ approval (usually within 1 business day).
  • Published, approved and live. Available is the active state inside Published, accepting new applications; Reserved means you've accepted an applicant and are mid-paperwork (property card shows Reserved, new applications paused, existing chats stay alive). There's no 'Rented' status; once a deal closes you archive the listing.

Deleting vs archiving

Archive is the soft option, the listing comes out of search and the dashboard list, but is recoverable for 90 days. Delete is permanent and instant. Use archive unless you are sure you will never list this property again.

Step-by-step

  1. 1

    Open Manage Listings

    10 seconds

Profile, My Listings. You see one row per property with current status, applicant count, and a quick-edit menu.

  2. 2

Tap the listing to open the editor

    5 seconds

Every field is editable. The same form you used to create the listing, prefilled with current values.

  3. 3

Edit photos without taking down the listing

    varies

Tap a photo to remove or replace. Drag to reorder. The cover photo is always the first one in the gallery, drag a new one into position 1 to change the listing thumbnail.

  4. 4

    Change the status

    5 seconds

The Status dropdown at the top of the editor flips between Available and Reserved (Draft, In Review, and Published are set by the system as the listing moves through the wizard and approval). The badge on the public property card updates immediately.

  5. 5

    Pause the listing

    5 seconds

Tap Pause in the editor menu. The listing leaves search but stays alive for existing applications. Unpause from the same menu when you are ready.

  6. 6

    Archive or delete

    10 seconds

Archive hides the listing with a 90-day undo window. Delete is permanent. Archive is the default safe choice.

Frequently asked questions

  • If I change the rent, do existing applicants see the new price?

Their existing application stays at the price they applied at. New applicants see the new price. Existing applicants get a notification that the listing changed and can choose to withdraw if they no longer want to proceed.

  • Can I bring back a deleted listing?

Deleted listings are gone permanently. Archived listings (different option) are recoverable for 90 days. Always archive instead of delete unless you are absolutely sure.

  • Why is my listing showing the old photo after I changed it?

CDN cache. Hard-refresh the browser (Cmd+Shift+R on Mac, Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows) or wait about a minute for cache propagation.
